Hidden Between the Lies
Everything you were taught
All that you have ever known
Lies somewhere in between
The field of truth and fiction
Diving deep into seclusion
Falling into an unconscious trance
Stepping away for a brief second
To think of everything and nothing
The voice of reason
Silenced by a moments confusion
On the one hand is right
The other holds the wrong
The unseen voice leads the way
Pointing the finger of knowledge
Brick by brick the path is laid
The yellow brick road is the way
For some that is true
Others take their chances and run
They run down the mountains
Down to the greenest valley
The yellow brick road leads to acceptance
Everyone that is right follows it
All the wrong walk in the valleys
And are outcasted by the right
Which path do you choose
Do you take the road to greatness
Or do you run free in the valley
Roam and live among the thieves
Its a sin to steal from others
When i am robbed everyday
Is it wrong to steal from a theif
Thats what i was taught

Invisible Tears
I walk down the street
Feel the eyes of strangers
As they burn into me
Burn like a wild fire
Destroying thousands of acres
Along with my courage
And why you ask
Why do i care so much
Because i want to be loved
Loved by all but one
The one
My first and my only love
Took my fragile heart
Tore it into two pieces
Burned it along with my pride
Leaving me empty
Nothing left inside
And i cried so many tears
Ones you could not see
Tears just wasted on you
And who you used to be

Wish Upon A Star
The first star i see tonite
I wish i may and wish i might
Make this wish and with it
You'll make it come true
I wish for the strength
To walk down this path
That i have tried to walk so many times before
But my weakness always brought me to the floor
I wish for the power
To row this boat a-shore
Maybe someone will find my letters
Sealed in a bottle and tossed away
A setting sun i've seen before
Brings the same old moonlit sky
I'll make this wish same as before
On the first star i see tonite
A thousand times i've fallen off my horse
A thousand times i've gotten back on
But this time i can't get up
Seems as though there is no hope left
The stars all look the same
Tonight i leave them no wish
I feel as though i could die
Shooting stars out of the sky
